THE GUIDE
Our guides are born and raised on the island of Moloka‘i. Surrounded by the island’s exotic beauty and deeply rooted in Hawaiian culture, hunting Axis deer has become a way of life—for both food sustenance and conservation.
Our ranch, located on the east end of Moloka‘i, is a family-owned operation committed to sharing this lifestyle. Our goal is to provide you with the most authentic hunting experience possible—one that not only connects you with the land, but also offers insight into the cultural and traditional values of Moloka‘i, a place we proudly call home.
Moloka‘i remains a rural island where subsistence living continues to be a cornerstone of the local economy and way of life.
CONSERVATION & HERD MANAGEMENT
At Extreme Axis Deer Hunting, conservation is at the heart of what we do. While Axis deer are a valued resource for food and culture, they are also a non-native species with the potential to negatively impact Moloka‘i’s fragile ecosystem if left unmanaged.
Our guided hunts play a vital role in helping to control the deer population, which protects native vegetation, reduces agricultural damage, and preserves the natural balance of our island environment. By maintaining a responsible harvest strategy, we ensure the health of the herd while supporting long-term sustainability.
We also work closely with local landowners, conservationists, and cultural leaders to align our efforts with the island’s environmental and community needs. Every hunt supports not just the individual hunter, but the larger goal of preserving Moloka‘i’s land, resources, and way of life for generations to come.
